Nicki Minaj, David Guetta to open American Music Awards

Duo collaborated on song Where Them Girls At?

Pop stars Nicki Minaj and David Guetta will open the 2011 American Music Awards later this month.

Although the two collaborated on the song Where Them Girls At? from Guetta’s latest album, their opening number has yet to be revealed.

The famous French DJ who just launched his new album Nothing But the Beat has two songs that feature Nicki Minaj, and rumors are circulating as to which song they will choose to open the Sunday, November 20 gala.

While the Grammy Awards are awarded based on votes by members of the entertainment industry, the AMAs are determined by a poll of music buyers, and as a result is more of a representative of public opinion.

British singer Adele is currently leading the pack with four AMA nominations.
