R&B artist Nicki Minaj might be joining Britney Spears on her upcoming tour, reports Music News.
Spears is gearing up for a summer tour to promote her new album, Femme Fatale, released last Tuesday (March 29). The tour begins June 17 in Sacramento, California, and will take Spears all over North America this summer, before wrapping up in Toronto on August 13.
The upcoming concert series has an opening after Enrique Iglesias, who was originally scheduled to join Spears on tour, had to drop out.
Minaj has said in the past that Spears is the only artist she would consider collaborating with at this point in her career.
"I’m done with collabs. No more collabs for the next two years. Although – Britney’s a snatch like me and she’s cute. Yes. We might do something," said the R&B star.
Iglesias sent out apologies to fans for pulling out of the Femme Fatale tour and mentioned that he is working on scheduling his own U.S. concert dates.
"Hey guys, sorry for the confusion regarding a possible tour in the summer with Britney Spears," he wrote on Twitter.
"We are on the Euphoria tour and will continue to do so including some soon-to-be-announced dates in US. So hope to see all of you soon."
