Variety reports that Cage will reunite with Dominic Sena, the director of the 2000 film Gone in Sixty Seconds.
This time, the two men will dive into a medieval story in Season of the Witch. The film follows the travels of 14th century knights with a special mission. They are travelling with a girl who is not only suspected of being a witch, but is also believed to be behind the black plague.
Filming is set to begin in November in Austria and Hungary.
We can next see Nicolas Cage in the films Knowing, being released on March 20, G-Force, due out on July 24, 2009, and Port of Call New Orleans, which does not yet have a release date.
