Nicolas Cage Buys Private Island

Actor Nicolas Cage has become the owner of a 40-acre island in the Bahamas.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the price of the private paradise was $3 million US.  Although Cage himself has never been on the untouched island, there is a possibility to develop the spot.

The island is near the private island that is owned by singers Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.  It sits in the Caribbean 85 miles away from Nassau.  The Bahamas is comprised of 365 separate islands.

Cage, who won an Oscar for his performance in the film Leaving Las Vegas, already owns a home on Paradise Island.  Last year, the star sold his Malibu home for 10 million.  Cage, 40, and his wife, Alice, 22, are the parents of a son who was born last October.  The baby’s name is Ka-el Coppola Cage.
