A financial nightmare seems to be continuing for the actor. Most recently, Christina Fulton, the mother of his eldest son, Weston, 18, is suing the star for fraud and breach of contract, reports People.
Fulton says that she has been affected by Cage’s poor financial management, and says that he owes her more than $1.2 million.
Last October, Cage announced that he was facing bankruptcy due to an accumulation of debts and unpaid taxes. He recently borrowed $2 million and has begun the process of selling several houses, cars, boats and other properties.
Fulton, a former actress, said that Cage offered her a home in Los Angeles, where she raised their son. She believed that the home was in her name, until Cage served her with eviction papers, giving her 60 days to leave the home.
Cage’s baby mama also revealed that she owes more than $1 million to the Internal Revenue Service because of Cage’s negligence. She has also accumulated $250 000 in credit card debt, that she assumed Cage was paying monthly. In total, Fulton estimates that her financial problems are worth $13 million.
Cage’s attorney, Marty Singer, said of the lawsuit "absurd." "Nicolas Cage has given her approximately three million every year for many years, even though he was only obligated to pay her six thousand a month in child support. We expect this lawsuit to be promptly thrown out," said Singer.
