Nicole Richie admitted her pregnancy has helped to strengthen the ties with her biological mother and father, Lionel Richie.
The star told Access Hollywood, "When I found out that I was pregnant, there was just something inside of me that felt a responsibility to mend any issues that I’ve had with my parents in the past, because, listen, I’ve put them through a lot."
Richie, 25, also revealed that she has been spending a lot of time with Joel Madden’s mother. The couple announced that they were expecting a boy. Richie did not want to wait for the baby to be born to know the sex, even if Madden wanted to wait.
Richie expressed, "I like to know everything. If he wasn’t at every doctor’s appointment, I probably would have found out by now just behind his back and not told him."
