Richie and her boyfriend Joel Madden, are expecting their first child in January. They would like to give all of the gifts given for their baby to families in need. The couple is using the Richie Madden Foundation created in collaboration with a clinic in Los Angeles.
A guest at the shower expressed, "It’s really sweet. With all the swag these days, we’re given so much stuff it’s almost wasteful, and it’s kind of nice when we’re giving to each other to give to someone else."
Richie and Madden also received a book from each guest to fill their future baby’s bookshelf.
