Nicole Richie is insulted by anorexia rumours

Nicole Richie says she has never been anorexic and is very insulted by these rumours.

The increasingly skinny form of Nicole Richie has prompted a lot of speculation in the past. However, according to Us magazine, the mother of two now says that she never had problems with nutrition.

Richie worried fans in 2006 when images of her too-thin body were released. She admitted, "I know I’m too thin right now. I’m not happy with the way I look right now."

During an interview with British mag Marie Claire for its March issue, Richie says that all the attention paid to her weight was not right. "I felt it was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they don’t. It’s extremely insulting and irresponsible. An eating disorder is serious and it’s a disease."

Despite some hard times, Richie is moving on to other things since the birth of daughter Harlow almost two years ago and son Sparrow in 2009. She does not want to dwell on the past, "I’m just one to live in the present and enjoy the time that I’m having. Going into my past is just not something that I do. Right now I’m just living my dreams."

Richie was hospitalized last November for pneumonia and had to cancel an appearance at the launch of her jewellery line, House of Harlow 1960, in an L.A. boutique.
