It appears the marriage of Nicole Richie is so small and intimate that not even her biological father is invited, reports the Daily News.
Richie is set to marry rocker Joel Madden in Beverly Hills this weekend, at the home of her adoptive father, Lionel Richie.
Her biological father is reportedly Peter Michael Escovedo, a former bandmate of Lionel Richie who has since become a music producer.
Richie, 29, remains very discreet about her biological father, but some media outlets have confirmed he will not be attending the nuptials. It was not clear whether Escovedo had been invited.
"My husband is out of town, and will not be back until Monday,” said Escovedo’s unnamed wife. “The nature of their relationship is a private matter and will remain so."
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have been dating for over four years and have two children together, Harlow, 2, and Sparrow, 1.
