Nicole Scherzinger delays solo album debut

Former Pussycat Dolls singer’s album pushed back to 2012.

Newest judge on the U.S. version of TV talent show The X Factor, Nicole Scherzinger, is best known as the former lead singer for the all-female group Pussycat Dolls. She left the group in December 2010 to go it alone, with a planned release of her debut solo album Killer Love.

Originally scheduled for November this year, before being pushed back to December, the singer recently confirmed that her debut solo album should be arriving in January next year, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Killer Love has already been released in the U.K., landing at number eight the country’s album chart and selling more than 140,000 copies. Scherzinger has a number one hit single with Don’t Hold Your Breath, but she appears to still be working on the U.S. version, which has an alternate tracklisting.

The pop singer has been very busy with her X Factor gig, and said, “You know what, I’ve been waiting for it so long, I don’t even care about a couple more months.”

“I want to make sure that when I put my album out, I have the time to devote to promoting it,” she added.
