The Pussycat Doll is working on her first solo album while she recovers from the end of her engagement. Scherzinger and her boyfriend of two years, Lewis Hamilton, broke up last month. Now, the singer is channeling all of her energy into her career.
The 31-year-old says that her album, Her Name is Nicole, is really coming together now. Scherzinger revealed that the early stages of putting the record together were tough. The disc will be sold on Amazon.
Ne-Yo, who is producing the album, says that Scherzinger’s recent breakup has had a direct effect on her music. “Nicole is in a state of liberation right now so the tracks are very free. She is in a place where she is happy to be alive and the tracks are definitely expressing that," he explained.
Since Scherzinger started working on solo material, rumours regarding her future with the Pussycat Dolls have been spreading like wildfire. However, Scherzinger maintains that she is not leaving the girl group.
