Nine Inch Nails making comeback?

Nine Inch Nails front-man Trent Reznor confirms the band are likely to record new music together.

Trent Reznor has confirmed new Nine Inch Nails material is "in the works"

The band’s front-man went on a 20th anniversary farewell tour with them in 2009, but now reveals they may release new songs in the future.

He told Rolling Stone magazine: "All signs point to yes… Yeah, there will be new music. There are some things in the works.

"Yeah, if it feels right, it’s a possibility. I never said that that wasn’t going to happen, just that it couldn’t go on as it was.

"Stay tuned. We’ll see what happens here."

Since parting ways with Nine Inch Nails, Trent has been creating songs for films including ‘Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ and ‘The Social Network’.

Speaking last year, the 47-year-old singer said he did not think of Nine Inch Nails as "dead" but just away temporarily.

He said: "Nine Inch Nails is not dead by any means, but all the touring and record writing has been thrown off for a little bit."

Nine Inch Nails last released an album in 2008.
