Nirvana To Become History

Nirvana, The Beach Boys and Dizzy Gillespie have all been reserved for future generations in the musical archives of the American Library of Congress.

The trio Nirvana was largely responsible for Grunge music, which first aired in the 90s, will have the disque Nevermind preserved at the library.

The same will be done with the disc Pet Sounds, by The Beach Boys in 1966.  The album has always been considered one of the most popular records of the 21st century.

For jazzman Dizzy Gillespie, the song Manteca, recorded in 1947 will be conserved.  The song was a collaboration with Chano Pozo, and has an Afro-Cuban sound.

Music is not the only thing being entered into the library, the first words of Neil Armstrong when landing on the moon will also be preserved.
