Nissan is keen to emphasize that the Land Glider is not just a design study, but an excellent marker of the trends of tomorrow. And if we’re to believe Nissan, then the car of the future may be more of a bike.
The Land Glider concept features two seats, one behind another, and measures only 1.1 metres wide. Another similarity to bikes or motorcycles is that the concept leans when cornering. The wheels are capable of leaning up to 17 degrees, depending on dynamic behaviour and compensation for weight distribution.
The Land Glider is propelled by two electric motors, powered by batteries placed under the floor. It is also equipped with an entirely electronic sensor system that can detect other vehicles in its path.
