NKOTBSB tour extended due to demand

Boy band supergroup adds sixteen shows to summer tour.

Boy band supergroup NKOTBSB, a hybrid of New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys, has added 16 performances to their upcoming summer tour, nearly doubling the number of shows, reports MTV.

Originally scheduled for 24 shows between June 2 and July 9, the tour has been extended until the end of July, wrapping up July 30 with a performance in Hershey, PA.

LiveNation, the concert tour promoter, has added the additional stops due to overwhelming demand. Along with a number of U.S. shows, NKOTBSB will now offer a second performance in Vancouver on July 10, as well as stops in Edmonton and Calgary on July 12 and 13 respectively.

As previously scheduled, the tour visits Montreal on June 7 before travelling to Toronto for a two-night gig June 8 and 9.

Before disbanding in 1994, New Kids on the Block were hugely popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Backstreet Boys, a completely separate boy band, hit the scene in 1996. The two pop acts first teamed up at a June 2010 NKOTB concert in New York City.
