No Black Sabbath Reunion says Geezer Butler

Heavy metal guitarist says rumors aren’t true.

Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler has firmly denied all rumors of a band reunion tour or album, reports Consequence of Sound.

"I would like to make it clear, because of mounting speculation and rumors, that there will be definitely NO reunion of all four original members of Black Sabbath, whether to record an album or to tour," the musician wrote on his website.

Just last month, frontman Ozzy Osbourne told ABC News Radio the band was "in the talking process" regarding a reunion and even a new album, fueling rumors that the band would soon be getting back together.

"The problem that we have is that if we do an album and it’s anything less than where we left off, it’s gonna be a big anticlimax," said Osbourne.

The news left people speculating that all four original members – Osbourne and Butler along with former Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi and Bill Ward – would soon be getting back together for this first time since 2005.
