No Doubt still at work on album

Slow pace while band members busy with new babies.

Fashion designer and rock star Gwen Stefani says she and her band No Doubt have recorded about 10 new songs in the last year, but isn’t sure when the album will be released, reports the Wall Street Journal.

During an interview before her L.A.M.B. fashion show, Stefani said that she and her bandmates all have babies, and are very busy at the moment.

“We’ve been doing a record all year; 10 songs have been recorded. When this is done I’ll go probably write a few more songs. I don’t know when it’ll come out, but you never know what can happen. I sang on three of them. One of them I might not re-sing. My band takes a weird process as well. It takes so long. And all of them just had babies, so it’ll be a while.”

The group’s last studio album, Rock Steady, was released a decade ago in 2001. Stefani released two solo albums: Love.Angel.Music.Baby. in 2004, and The Sweet Escape in 2006. She is married to Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale, and they have two children Kingston, 4, and Zuma, 2.
