A spokesperson for Mary J. Blige denied rumours the singer is heading for divorce, Orange News reports.
There has been speculation recently that Blige left her husband, record industry executive Martin Kendu Isaacs, and was getting ready to make their split official by filing for divorce.
Now one of her reps says the separation rumours are false and the couple is "very happy". The couple attended the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute’s Gala on Monday night (May 3) in New York City.
This is not the first time the couple has been the target of rumours about the state of their marriage. The star denied speculation just a few months ago after reports surfaced her marriage was on the rocks.
Blige is stepmother to her husband’s three children, Nas, 10, Jordan, 11, and Brianna, 23.
Last September, the singer said she was not in any rush to have her own children because she already found it difficult to spend enough time with her stepchildren.
