No limits for Justin Bieber
With a new album in the works, pop star Justin Bieber is taking his time writing and recording, not wanting to rush or limit himself with preconceived notions of genre and style, reports MTV.
"I’m not gonna really limit myself," he responded when asked about the sound of the new album. "I think music is music, and genre – I mean, I know there’s country music, there’s rock music – but my music is different. My voice is not meant for any style. I just want to make music."
The singer said the album is still in the writing and recording stages, and he doesn’t have a firm deadline for when he expects to be finished. For now, he’s still creating and wants the time and opportunity to explore.
"I want to work a lot with myself," said the teen pop star, having collaborated with big name acts like Kanye West, Ludacris, Chris Brown and Rascal Flatts. "And [I want to] write a lot myself. I will be working with a lot of other producers and stuff like that, but I’m just writing a lot, writing on tour."
The new album will be well worth the wait, promises Bieber, who said he’s "writing about how I feel… I’ve been producing on my laptop and on my computer. I’ve been really into it and, hopefully, this next album will be huge."
