Casey’s uncle, Odus Jackson, told People magazine that the young couple isn’t planning a wedding right now. However, Jackson, who is a church pastor, didn’t hide the fact that he hopes they will make their relationship a legal union. He stated, "I hope they will stick it out and get married for the child’s sake and their sake."
Jackson added that he would prefer for the two to marry for the right reasons. He explained, "But if they’re not in love and it was just a fantasy, they don’t need to make the same mistake twice."
The uncle also said that he doesn’t care for the media storm that has taken place in town since Jamie Lynn announced her pregnancy. "We know that it’s national news, more than just a boy-girl mess up," says Jackson. "[But] we’re not used to media down here."
