No Oasis songs for Beady Eye tour

Liam Gallagher says Beady Eye will not perform any Oasis songs on upcoming world tour.

Former Oasis frontman and current lead singer of Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher says that Beady Eye will not perform any Oasis songs during an upcoming tour, reports Spinner.

Beady Eye, which formed from the remaining Oasis members after Liam’s brother Noel quit the band 18 months ago, is preparing to release their first album, Different Gear, Still Speeding on March 1, followed by a two-month world tour.

Gallagher confirmed that they would be performing "all Beady Eye music. We’re going to throw in a couple of B-sides. We’ve got a cover of a tune by a band called World of Twist, they’re from Manchester. No Oasis songs."

"It would be absolutely ridiculous to play Oasis songs and then Beady Eye songs. It would be schizophrenic. Or phrenic. Or phonic. They won’t want to hear Oasis songs by the time we finish with them."

"It just feels wrong. This is not Oasis. We love Oasis, we love what Oasis was, but it would be wrong to take those songs and play them as Beady Eye, because Beady Eye is not Oasis," added guitarist Andy Bell.
