No trace of drug or alcohol abuse

A Los Angeles coroner releases his final report on Brittany Murphy’s death.

Rumours about the state of Brittany Murphy’s health before her death can now be put to rest. A Los Angeles coroner released his final autopsy report yesterday (February 25).

He found no trace of drug or alcohol abuse and said she was not dangerously thin.

According to People, the report refers to an "elevated level" of Vicodin and over-the-counter cold medications in her body, but no illegal substances.

The coroner wrote, "There is no history of alcohol or drug abuse. The overall appearance of the body is consistent with the recorded height of 65 inches and the recorded weight of 115 pounds. The body appears well developed, normally muscular and slim but not excessively thin."

A few weeks ago, the coroner said that the 32-year old actress died from pneumonia on December 20. He concluded her death was accidental and preventable.
