Noel Gallagher announces debut shows with new band

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will perform their new album live in October.

As a seemingly defiant retort to brother Liam’s newfound success with band Beady Eye, Noel Gallagher has announced three Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds shows this fall, reports OrangeNews.

At 44 years old and the elder to his 38-year brother, Noel quit Oasis – the band they’d formed together in Manchester two decades ago – after a irreconcilable blow-out with Liam.

The October shows are set to take place in Dublin, Ireland on the 23rd; Edinburgh, Scotland on the 27th and London on the 29th.

Noel also announced that debut single The Death Of You And Me will be released to fans August 21 – a single that he’s adamantly denied is based on his brother.

"The saying is that if you don’t leave a place it will be the death of you. The song is about people escaping the surroundings they are in, it’s not about me and Liam,” he insisted to the Daily Telegraph.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ eponymous album will be released this December.
