Noel Gallagher changes his mind

Noel Gallagher decides not to face his attacker in court.

British musician and former Oasis member Noel Gallagher has decided not to go to court after all, reports The Star. He had planned to attend the sentencing hearing of the man who attacked him during a 2008 concert.

Prosecutor Ruth Kleinhenz-Neilson says the star decided not to come due to scheduling conflicts as well as worries about a media frenzy caused by his presence.

A sentencing hearing for Danny Sullivan, 48, was scheduled for last Friday (February 5). However, it was postponed after Gallagher asked for permission to attend.

The hearing was rescheduled for March 23 after Gallagher said he would not attend after all. Defence lawyer John Collins said he and his client are upset by this delay.

Sullivan pleaded guilty to assault charges against him.

The rocker suffered several broken ribs when the man got up on stage and jumped on him during an Oasis concert in Toronto in September 2008.
