Noel Gallagher extends olive branch to Liam

On tour with High Flying Birds, Noel vows not to perform Oasis songs made famous by his brother.

In what could be considered a rare show of respect to his younger brother, Noel Gallagher has announced that he will not perform any Oasis track on his current solo tour if it was originally sung by Liam.

Newly re-emerged on the recording and touring circuits under the moniker High Flying Birds, Noel performed his first show in Ireland this past Sunday (October 20), omitting any and all stand-out Oasis hits.

The Manchester-born performer told Rolling Stone, "I won’t be singing anything that Liam’s famous for singing." In reference to his brother’s reputation for missing shows, he then jabbed, "I’m not a natural showman, but I promise to turn up."

The two Gallaghers have been embroiled in feuds on and off since disbanding in 2009. Most recently, Liam filed suit against Noel early this year, citing that he lied in order to get out of performing with Oasis at 2009’s V Festival.
