Noel Gallagher Leaving London

Noel Gallagher has decided to leave London and return to his home town.

According to NME, the former Oasis member is planning to leave London to return to his native town of Manchester.

The singer and guitarist moved to the English capital following the 1994 release of his group’s debut album, Definitely Maybe. However, he now says that the city has lost a lot of its charm, and that’s why he’s headed back home.

Yesterday (November 2), Gallagher attended the Music Industry Trusts’ Award ceremony at The Grosvenor House Hotel, along with his friends Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross. During the event, he said, "I’m leaving London to go back up north, to Manchester."

The 42-year-old musician recently announced his plans to pursue a solo career after quitting Oasis last August, and said that he hasn’t given much thought about his brother.

He revealed, "I’m having a good time and the support from my fans has been great. I’m looking forward to doing my own thing, bringing out my own music. I’m glad that’s what people want to hear. I am not thinking about much else, Oasis or Liam, I’m just having a good time."
