Noel Gallagher releases second single

If I Had a Gun can be heard online.

Since walking away from his former band Oasis and battling brother Liam in 2009, Noel Gallagher has been busy at work on a new solo album, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

With only six weeks until the October 17 release of the album, Gallagher has just released the second single titled If I Had a Gun. It follows the July debut of the first single The Death of You and Me, which entered the charts at number nine, reports Clash Music.

The long awaited solo album has been highly anticipated by fans, and music critics are eager to compare his work with Beady Eye, the group founded his brother Liam after Oasis disbanded.

Noel is also working on a collaboration album with Amorphous Androgynous, which is expected to be released in 2012.

Gallagher will be going on tour to support the new album, beginning in Dublin on October 23. The touring band for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds includes David McDonnell (guitar), Russell Pritchard (bass), Mikey Rowe (keyboards) and Jeremy Stacey (drums).

The group will play some North American dates, including the first two performances at Toronto’s Massey Hall on November 7 and 8.
