The nominees for the upcoming American Music Awards ceremony have been announced, and singer Taylor Swift takes the lead with nominations in 6 categories. Michael Jackson follows with 5 nominations, and rapper Eminem was given 4 nods.
These three artists were named as contenders for the most prestigious award, which is the Artist of the Year AMA, along with Kings Of Leon and Lady Gaga.
Jackson was posthumously selected after his 2003 disc, Number Ones, sold more than 2 million copies following his death on June 25.
Artists confirmed to take the Nokia Theatre stage in Los Angeles on November 22 include Alicia Keys, the Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez, and American Idol finalist, Adam Lambert.
