People magazine reported that the former football star was arrested on Sunday, September 16. He was kept behind bars because of his involvement with an armed robbery. He was accused of stealing sports memorabilia last Thursday in Las Vegas.
There any charges against Simpson, the most serious being armed robbery, which could mean 35 years in prison.
Another person was arrested for being an accomplice, and the police are searching for four other men.
There have been no comments made by Simpson and his lawyer since his arrest.
