Oasis Nominated Despite Split
The troubled group Oasis, who recently announced they’ve split for good, received a nomination in two categories for the annual Q Awards ceremony, where trophies are handed out by Britain’s Q magazine, which has been specializing in music since 1986.
Oasis has landed in the Best Act in the World Today category alongside the groups Muse, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay.
The Manchester band, founded in 1991, was also nominated in the Best Live Act category, running against U2, Blur, The Prodigy, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys and Take That.
Although the estranged Gallagher brothers were both invited to the ceremony, it is highly unlikely that they will reunite.
