According to a Music-News report, Liam Gallagher thinks that Oasis should have broken up long before his spat with his brother, Noel.
Oasis announced it was breaking up last summer following a violent dispute between the Gallagher brothers just before a concert in France.
Liam now plans to launch a new album with two former Oasis mates, bassist Andy Bell and guitarist Gem Archer. He is happy to concentrate on his new music instead of dwelling on the situation with his brother.
He says, "I think it’s a good thing, in hindsight. If I weren’t keeping myself busy I’d be sitting around sort of picking at things and being bitter. But now that things are going on, I think it’s a good thing."
He adds that they should maybe have broken up sooner, even if he still believes they could continue to make good music together.
Noel Gallagher is also working on a solo album. Last December, Liam, said he doubted his brother’s album would as good as his own.
