OceanGate: No more oxygen, according to experts

By all calculations, OceanGate’s makeshift submersible, the Titan, has run out of oxygen and the five passengers on board for an expedition to see the remains of the Titanic seem to be now doomed.

Experts agree that oxygen reserves are now exhausted, while the group’s chances of survival were estimated at only 96 hours – and even then, these were optimistic proposals, not including certain factors such as CO2 emissions, for example.

The search continues for the OceanGate submersible, whose use and construction methods have attracted criticism and warnings for years, but the chances of finding its crew are now virtually nil.
