The film’s viewing at the Venice Film Festival was followed by a standing ovation.
Since 1986, when he made the film Salvador, Stone has been interested in Latin American issues. He has also directed the documentaries Comandante and Looking for Fidel.
The next Oliver Stone project is the sequel to Wall Street, entitled Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, which hits theatres on April 23, 2010.
