Olivia Newton-John dead at 73: John Travolta, Kate Hudson and many celebrities react

Olivia Newton-John, the star of Grease and four-time Grammy winner, has died. She was 73 years old.

Olivia Newton-John‘s husband, John Easterling, released a statement on Monday, August 8, confirming her death – saying she “passed away peacefully at her Southern California ranch this morning, surrounded by family and friends.”

“We ask that everyone respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” he added.

While no cause of death has been disclosed, a source told TMZ “that after a 30-year journey with cancer, she lost her battle with breast cancer.”
