Olivia Wilde To Star Opposite Russell Crowe

Olivia Wilde will become friends with Russell Crowe in the film The Next Three Days.

The House star has accepted a role in the film, which will be directed by Paul Haggis.

Crowe and Wilde will also star with Elizabeth Banks in the film, which is an adaptation of the French suspense flick, Pour elle.

The film revolves around a teacher who is trying to help free his wife from prison.  The woman was found guilty of murder, but claims that she is innocent.  Wilde will play a young mother who befriends the teacher.

Jonathan Tucker (The Ruins) will also be part of the cast, reports The Hollywood Reporter.  He will play a gangster who runs a laboratory that produces banned substances.

Olivia Wilde also stars in the film NorthWood, which does not yet have a release date, and will star in Tron Legacy, which hits theatres on December 17, 2010.
