One Direction want Labrinth collaboration

One Direction would love to work with Hackney-born Labrinth on the follow-up to their debut album ‘Up All Night’.

One Direction would love to work with Labrinth.

The ‘One Thing’ group – made up of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson – are making preparations for the follow-up to their debut album ‘Up All Night’ and want the London-born producer to write some tracks with them for it.

Niall said: "We’d love to work with Labrinth. He’s super talented and it would be amazing."

Earlier this week, a video of Labrinth playing guitar and singing with Niall backstage emerged, after they appeared on the same bill at Radio City Live in Liverpool at the weekend. They are also both signed to the same record label, Syco.

One Direction have had massive success around the world since being put together on the UK’s version of star search show ‘The X Factor’ after originally auditioning as solo singers.

Liam has said since being in a group he now has no desire to go it alone as a solo artist, as he would get bored.

He said: "I think it would be massively, massively boring! I don’t know how Justin Bieber does it, but full props to him. I like being around the boys.

"I enjoy other people’s company and it’s a lot more fun being in a band on stage. There’s so much work in this industry that if I had to do it on my own, I don’t know what I’d do. I’d be very bored and very boring!"
