One of the Pointer Sisters Dies

Singer Cher would love to take over for Celine Dion when she finishes her contract in Las Vegas.

Cher, who has just completed her Farewell Tour, wants to have a permanent contract to perform at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace when Celine Dion ends her run next year.  According to the New York Post, Cher could earn $60 million to perform there on a regular basis.

The paper also confirmed that, should she get the contract, Cher would be working with Elton John, who also has a contract at Caesars.
