Ontario has plenty to offer this summer

Food, drink and nature await in the province of Ontario.

Even as August begins to wane, there is still plenty of summer to enjoy in Ontario, and the province has a wide selection of delights to offer, especially when it comes to food, drink and the great outdoors, reports Canoe Travel.

For a unique wine tasting experience, try A Trolley Named Desire tour offered in Essex County. A heritage-themed trolley carries guests to and from several vineyards, where they can enjoy the wide range of food and drink available from local growers.

For the more outdoorsy types, Ontario also offers a great fishing experience. "Home to 15 percent of the world’s fresh water, our 400,000 lakes, rivers, and streams have some of the finest freshwater sport fishing anywhere," explains the official Go Fish Ontario website.

The region also boasts almost 330 provincial parks which are available for both day trips and overnight camping. Located all over the province, the parks offer a wide array of experiences for all skill levels.
