Oprah Winfrey showed her distress after hearing the details of the abuse of some of the girls in her private academy in South Africa.
The star recently visited the Henley-on-Klip Leadership Academy, which she founded in 2006, after hearing that there were abuse allegations by one of the dorm matrons on a few of the girls.
A former employee, Virginia Mokgobo, was arrested and many charges are pending against her, notably forcing young girls to perform indecent acts.
Winfrey expressed her disgust and disappointment toward the staff of the academy. She has done a clean up of the staff, and says she will do everything possible to insure the girls receive the best possible care.
