Oprah Winfrey is facing a trillion dollar lawsuit for plagiarism.
Actor Damon Lloyd Goffe accused the talk show host and her company, Harpo, of plagiarism. According to him, Winfrey’s book, Pieces of my Soul, was copied from his book, A Tome of Poetry. A copyright lawsuit has been filed. Goffe says that the host even admitted last year to using his work.
According to the National Enquirer, Goffe and his legal team are now trying to quantify the damages, knowing that Winfrey has sold over 650 million copies of the book on the Internet, with sales totalling 1.2 trillion dollars. However, the Internet site is currently not active.
