Oprah Winfrey highest-earning woman in Hollywood

Talk show host may not be able to hold onto this spot after ending her show.

Television talk show host Oprah Winfrey is once again at the top of Forbes magazine’s annual list of highest paid women in the entertainment industry.

The popular celebrity, considered to have more credibility than the President of the United States, remains at the top of the list for women with the highest earnings in the entertainment industry, with estimated earnings of $290 million between May 2010 and May 2011. Winfrey ended her TV show after 25 years on the air, and is now the head of her own television network, OWN.

Theatrical pop singer Lady Gaga landed in second place, with earnings of $90 million, a whopping $200 million less than Winfrey. Two months ago, Gaga replaced Winfrey at the top of the magazine’s list of 100 most powerful women.

Star of the reality TV show Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Frankel, has parlayed her celebrity with Skinny Girl drinks and Fortune Brands to the tune of $55 million in earnings.

Frankel is followed by a four women who all made $45 million: model Gisele Bundchen, TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, Judge Judy Sheindlin, and 21-year-old singer Taylor Swift.

Katy Perry follows closely behind with earnings of $44 million, and Beyonce ties with novelist Danielle Steele with earnings of $35 million to round out the top ten.
