Oprah Winfrey Is Still One of the Wealthiest

Even though the top 10 wealthiest Americans have held their spots, this is the first time in seven years that they have become less rich. Their fortunes have not increased this year as they have in the past. Bill Gates, for example, lost $7 billion since September 2008, and is now worth $50 billion.

The average age of people on the list is about 66. The youngest billionaire is the founder of the social networking site Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, 25, who is worth $2 billion.

Certain film and television stars were also found among the 400 most affluent Americans. George Lucas and Steven Spielberg were listed at 97, each with $3 billion, and talk show hostess Oprah Winfrey landed at number 141 with $2.3 billion.
