Second on the list was author JK Rowling, who wrote the Harry Potter series of books. Rowling is worth $1 billion. Martha Stewart is in third place on the list.
Singer Madonna occupies the fourth spot, followed by Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson.
