The television hostess and owner of Harpo Inc., Oprah Winfrey, is the most powerful woman in show business, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The annual list named the top 100 women in entertainment. Oprah was chosen for her role in the media, as well as for her cultural influences. Last year, Winfrey was number 6 on the list.
The Hollywood Reporter also listed the highest-paid women in entertainment in 2008. Angelina Jolie earned the number one spot by collecting $15 million per film. She was followed by Julia Roberts and Reese Witherspoon, who was last year’s top earner.
