Last week it was announced that the popular musical-comedy television show Glee would be releasing its first original songs, and after debuting on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show last Friday (February 25), they are now available online
Loser Like Me, an up-tempo number starring the whole Glee cast, was co-written by Max Martin, who has penned hits for artists like Britney Spears and Pink.
"He owns radio right now… if we wanna go to radio with anybody tagging along, I think he’s the guy you want," Adam Anders, the show’s music producer, explained to EW. Anders wrote the second track, Get It Right, with his writing partner and wife. The song is a ballad performed by Lea Michelle (Rachel Berry).
"Lea’s storyline kind of inspired that song for me. Basically, you try to do everything right and you have good motivations with everything you’re doing but everything ends up going wrong.”
When asked whether fans could expect to see more original songs in the future, Anders replied: "I would say yes, I see more originals. But to do one every week? No not at all… I mean [show creator Ryan Murphy] hasn’t said either way to me but if I were to guess I’d say no.”
