The couple is now honeymooning at an undisclosed location, and have disclosed no further details. News of the marriage was confirmed by Kerr herself, by way of explaining her absence from the Australian store David Jones.
"David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together," said the 27-year-old model in a prepared statement. "I’m very much a part of the David Jones family and I am very committed to my role. I am enormously grateful to David Jones to have been given this time to enjoy such a special moment in my life."
She and the 33-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star have been dating since late 2007. At that time, Kerr was seeing someone else, so their friendship was platonic for some time before evolving into a romance. The couple made their first public appearance in April 2008, and last year spent Thanksgiving together in Morocco.
After announcing their engagement, Kerr immediately denied rumors she is pregnant. However, she has never hidden his desire to become a mother.
