A fellow actor of Wilson’s, Ben Stiller, has worked for many years with Wilson. The movie Tropic Thunder started filming six weeks ago in Hawaii. It is directed by Jack Black and produced by Stiller.
Wilson was to start his part of the shoot in a few weeks. Stiller and Wilson mutually agreed it was better that Wilson not do the movie. It has not been decided whether the part Wilson was playing will be eliminated from the script, or whether a new actor will take his place.
The movie shows five actors that have big problems during the shooting of a movie about the war.
The Los Angeles police confirmed that Wilson was hospitalized because of a suicide attempt.
