Ozzfest won’t be taking place this year so that Ozzy Osbourne can focus on his next disc, scheduled to be released in November.
The album will be Osbourne’s first since Black Rain in 2007, which was co-produced by Kevin Churko.
Last year, Ozzfest was a one-day event in Texas, featuring performances from Osbourne, Metallica, Serj Tankiah, Jonathan Davis (Korn) and Sevendust.
In 2007, the show was held free of charge, and relied heavily on sponsorship, but there were major logistical problems, and groups were not paid.
