Pacino and Becker Reunited for a Remake of Rififi

Stone Village Pictures have bought the rights to redo the 1955 French film Rififi.

It will be a modern day version of this movie, directed by Harold Becker, and starring Al Pacino.

The original film was directed by Jules Dassin.  It tells the story of a professional burglar, who upon his release from prison discovers that his wife has left him.  He then resorts back to burglary, and plans a big robbery of a jewellery store.

This movie is the third time Pacino and Becker work together.  Their first two films were Sea of Love and City Hall.
