For many people, Pamela Anderson ‘s story is synonymous with Baywatch and Playboy. The reality is quite different, and Netflix intends to prove it.
Earlier this month, Netflix announced that it is currently filming a documentary on the life of the 54-year-old Canadian who is about to take the stage on Broadway.
Pamela Anderson, who chose to come and live in Canada again, herself lifted the veil on the filming during an interview she gave yesterday (March 23) to the show Good Morning America.
The blonde bombshell is currently working on her role as Roxie Hart, which she will play in a new adaptation of the musical Chicago which will be presented fromApril to June at the Ambassador Theater in New York.
“They’re following me on this journey, so they can also see a little bit of me getting ready for Roxie. But we weren’t planning on doing that. Roxie literally came in the last few weeks,” comments the Ladysmith, British Columbia native.
When contacted by Netflix, Pamela Anderson couldn’t say no to the idea of a documentary about her life being made.
“How can you say no to her? And it’s good timing. My kids are grown … so now I feel like it’s time. I need a challenge. I need to do something. I needed this. I’ve been away for a little while and I’m back to take on the challenge.”
In addition to looking back at her early life, which led her to move from Canada to Los Angeles, the documentary will cover the highlights of her life, from her many photo shoots for Playboy, to the TV series Baywatchfrom her many photo shoots for Playboy, to the TV series, to her stand against animal cruelty, to her love life(she recently got divorced for the fifth time), to following her latest project, a Broadway musical.
“I feel like this is really my time to shine for once. I’m doing this for me, which is rare,” the mother of two concluded.
Netflix has not yet announced the date and title of the documentary on Pamela Anderson.
